Business 2 business networking ... the old fashioned way

Network 4 Success
Business to Business
Networking Group
Background - How we began
This networking group started in May 2006, and was started by Laura
Bonetzky-Joseph, a local Plympton, Ma resident and entreprenuer, who realized that
there were lots of local based businesses that few of us were aware of. Many of these
businesses were home based. This is not to mention the new businesses that are
coming to town.
We are all so busy in our everyday lives with family, school, and work that we, those
who rely on word of mouth to grow our businesses, forget to take time out to see what
our neighbors do for work and how we can help each other with valuable resources
Our first meeting was in May 2006, and four businesses represented. By the end of
August 2006, our little start-up group had fourteen different businesses represented.
Mission
To grow our businesses the old fashioned way, one business at a time without
outrageous dues and fees. We also believe in growing our businesses by being
active as a group in the local community and visible within the public domain.
Referrals are essential to grow our businesses. However, making referrals
mandatory as part of our group is not required. We believe the best QUALIFIED
referrals come from our own CREDIBILITY. This eliminates the need for cold calling
referrals.

Goals of our Group
Networking is only a part of what this group does. Some of our focus relies heavily on
teamwork to make this group a success for all involved. With teamwork, we all take
part in growing our businesses. The philosophy is that with teamwork comes great
rewards. At each meeting, new businesses are introduced. We also have one
business do a visual demonstration on what they do, and we also have one business
teach the rest of us a strength that the rest of the group can benefit from. .
